Standard Plan premiums (every 5 years)
Standard Plans follow terms and benefits standardised by the government. Apart from very limited minor allowable variations, Standard Plans from different insurers are virtually the same, so their premiums can be compared directly. Source: VHIS frequently asked questions

Standard yearly premium for non-smokers, before the premium levy
Before reading the numbers
- Premiums come from each plan's standard premium table published on the VHIS website (vhis.gov.hk). Only non-smoker premiums (or premiums that do not depend on smoking) are listed, matched to the exact age and sex; figures for the other sex or for smokers are never used instead.
- All figures are yearly premiums before the Insurance Authority premium levy.
- USD plans are converted at US$1 = HK$7.85.
- The range for each plan series is the lowest to highest premium across its current options (for example different deductibles, ward classes or currencies).
- Some plans accept new applicants only up to a certain age; premiums at older ages then apply to renewals only. Check the notes on each plan's premium table. For example, the premium table of Blue Cross CareForYou Standard Plan for VHIS (S00032) states that it applies to insured persons aged 0 to 80 at policy commencement, and premiums from age 81 are for renewal only. - Actual premiums depend on the insurer's underwriting.
- A lower premium does not mean the same cover: benefit limits, ward class, deductible and terms can still differ between plans. Compare plan benefits side by side →
